Soaring Hawk Vintage is an online retailer servicer offering books, fine art, and select collectibles.  We specialize in antiquarian and rare books, children's books, cookbooks, mixed media works of art, oil and pastel paintings, art prints, engravings, and more. Inventory is hand selected and refreshed often, usually sourced throughout the historic Carolinas. If you’re an avid collector, you may be familiar with SHV from our presence across various marketplaces. Over the years, our clients have found they can rely on our commitment to premium customer service, sourcing unique collectibles, and delivering quality products in a timely manner. Our selections are photographed with the intent of delivering a near in-person buying experience. Understanding the nature of today’s “now society”, our orders ship quickly, as expected. ━ The Founder ━
Dana Summitt is an independent appraiser, consultant, and art broker offering an array of art and collectibles, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. After years of personal collecting and work in e-Commerce, she founded her own business, Soaring Hawk Vintage in 2014. An Indiana native, Ms. Summitt is a graduate of Ball State University. She is a member of the International Society of Appraisers, one of the largest personal property appraisal organizations in the US. She appraises professionally for estates, donations, attorneys, collectors, and for IRS and insurance requirements; specializing in rare books, fine art, and entertainment memorabilia. As an experienced guest lecturer, she is available for speaking engagements for appraisal days, fundraising events, student groups, and non-profit organizations. She resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her family, surrounded by the tall whispering pines for which the Carolinas are known.
